SquidNet now has a new enhanced WINDOWS installer which, hopefully, will make setup times a little quicker (no more reboots!!). Unfortunately, you'll have to ensure that your previous installation tree is completely removed (sorry for the inconvenience!!). As always, please let me know your comments and suggestions.

Also, the latest release includes:

  • A major fix for WINDOWS 7 users which was intermittently causing the SquidNet user interface to crash after a new install.

  • Better support for Blender.

  • Removal of all nag screens for SquidNet Deluxe users.

Happy Holidays!!! SquidNet 2.59 now supports image pan/zoom in all image and sequence views.

November 25, 2009 SquidNet now supports Region Rendering for Maya. Check it out and let me know your thoughts. Look for Region Rendering for 3DSMAX and LightWave in the coming months!!
October 27, 2009 There's been a few reports of users having problems with template fields not showing up correctly on the right side of the job submission window (see example image here). We're still trying to determine what the cause of this is. In the meantime, the workaround is to uninstall SquidNet on the target machine, make sure that all folders and files have been removed (especially *.default files in template directory) then re-install. Thank you Carlos for providing the sample image.

Update: Problem solved. A fix will be available in 2.54 release.
October 18, 2009 Documentation updates are now posted on website. Sorry for the long delay!! Now that things are starting to settle down a little, look for more updated documentation in the coming weeks. Please let me know if you find any issues with the document updates.
October 11, 2009 SquidNet 2.52 is released. This version includes a free PRO license that unlocks all advanced user interface features. This is to coincide with a free release of SquidNet that's included in DIGIT magazines bonus application DVD. The PRO license will only be good for this version of SquidNet.
September 21, 2009 SquidNet 2.50 is released with support for ILM's OpenEXR image format. Please visit http://www.openexr.com for specification information.
September 5, 2009 Per a lot of your requests, SquidNet now supports Wake-On-LAN. Check it out and let me know if you have any questions or issues.
